Iveagh Names Former WH Ireland Chief As CEO

Iveagh Private Investment House, the London-based Guinness family office and asset manager, has appointed Richard Ford as chief executive, effective from the start of next week.

Ford replaces Paul Ross, who will assist his successor in the first few months of his tenure, in addition to continuing to serve on Iveagh’s board as deputy chairman.

Ford quit as CEO of private client stockbroker WH Ireland in August 2010, having previously held senior posts at Spencer House Capital Management, ORN Capital, Fidelity Investments and GAM.

Iveagh said in a statement that Ford’s appointment formed part of an initiative to consolidate the firm’s strategic management and day-to-day business under a new CEO role. As CEO, Ford will have full executive responsibility for the management of the business, including budgeting, strategy, marketing and operations, Iveagh said.

In other recent hires, at the start of this month Iveagh appointed Caren Oxford to the newly-created role of head of marketing. In this role she is responsible for the firm's marketing and communications strategy, focusing particularly on the Iveagh Wealth Fund and the Iveagh Core Portfolios.

Previously, Oxford worked at UK-based financial planner Skandia Investment, a member of the Old Mutual Group, where she was responsible for UK distribution channel marketing.

Iveagh was launched in 2006, evolving from managing solely Guinness family assets to the management of retail assets through the Iveagh Wealth Fund and the Iveagh Core Portfolios, which were launched in 2008 and the start of this year respectively.
