Israeli Private Bank Picks Singapore as Asia Base

Israeli Bank Hapoalim has picked Singapore as a base to service Israeli and international clients doing business in Asia, said chief executive Zvi Ziv in a statement published in the local press. BHI Switzerland, Bank Hapoalim’s Zurich-based private banking arm, has also opened a Singapore branch to serve clients doing business in Asia. Bank Hapoalim accounts for a one third share of the Israeli banking market, according to Rami Lador, BHI Switzerland's executive vice-president.
