IQ-EQ Makes Senior Asia-Pacific, Middle East Appointment

In the wake of a rebrand of its Asia-based business, and planned management change, the group has announced a new MD for its fund platform and solutions group in the Middle East and APAC regions.
IQ-EQ, a global
investors group, has appointed Anil Ponnampalam (main

Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, after the
rebranding in June of Gordian Capital to
IQ-EQ.
Ponnampalam is succeeding Mark Voumard, who has stepped down
from the managing director role as part of a planned leadership
transition. Most recently, Ponnampalam served as director, head
of business and investments, private markets, fund platform and
solutions, APAC and Middle East.
In total, Ponnampalam brings more than 20 years of collective
investment and management experience across private, public and
capital markets. Prior to joining Gordian Capital, he managed
assets for a wide range of institutional clients at financial
institutions and investment firms, IQ-EQ said in a
statement.
Reporting to Sridhar Nagarajan, the APAC regional CEO working
with Richard Surrency, group chief commercial officer,
Ponnampalam will join IQ-EQ’s APAC regional management team and
will serve on the boards of the fund management entities in APAC
and the Middle East.
