IPO Bolsters Australian Trustee's Singapore Strategy

The Trust Company, the Australian trustee firm that services individuals, companies and charitable trusts, has bolstered its Singapore growth strategy with the recent success of an IPO in the city-state.
The initial public offer of real estate investment firm Viva Industrial Trust, for which the Australian company served as trustee, has raised S$463.3 million ($372 million) since listing on the Singapore Stock Exchange on 4 November 2013.
The Trust Company has been operating in Singapore since 2006 and, according to its statement, is the only Australian trustee with licenses to operate in the city-state, Australia and New Zealand. Singapore is the second largest IPO market in the world, next to the US, in terms of capital raised.
"With the pilot of the Asia Regional Funds Passport set to commence in January 2016, we expect to see cross-border flows continue to grow and we are uniquely placed to help clients take advantage of this emerging regional collaboration," said Andrew Cannane, general manager, corporate clients.
Across the region, The Trust Company provides personal client services, including estate planning and administration, lifestyle and executor assistance, financial planning, wealth management and personal trusts.
