InvestEdge rolls out new overlay ASP

Advisor-tech company's partnership with Northfield bares fruit. Wealth-management technology maker InvestEdge is marketing its ASP Version 6.0, the product of an alliance with risk-monitoring and tax-optimization provider Northfield Information Systems. Pittsburgh-based InvestEdge says the new version significantly bolsters its portfolio-management, trade-automation, and performance-measurement features.
The new features incorporate Northfield’s “Open Optimization” software so that investment managers can monitor portfolio risk, optimize portfolios to models with minimal turnover and capital gains, and evaluate the impact of potential trades. The new tool minimizes the need to call in investment strategists, provides continuous portfolio monitoring, and – says InvestEdge – delivers more consistent portfolio results.
Broader scale
“By integrating after-tax optimization directly into portfolio management and trading workflow, [we have] dramatically simplified the arduous task of measuring and managing risk,” says InvestEdge’s CEO Bob Stewart. “It’s a more intelligent way for firms to manage tax-sensitive portfolios because it provides better results in less time.”
InvestEdge ASP Version 6.0 has two takers so far. One is Glenmede Trust, a Philadelphia-based multi-family office. InvestEdge isn’t at Liberty to name the other, according to a company spokesman.
Glenmede’s chief technology officer Nicholas Voutsakis says InvestEdge’s new technology is helping Glenmede “toward our goal of applying our risk-management and optimization strategies on a broader scale.”
The bulk of InvestEdge’s clients are banks and trust companies with significant proprietary investment-management capabilities.
