Investec Asset Management Bolsters Emerging Markets Debt Team

Investec Asset Management, part of UK and South Africa-listed Investec, has strengthened its emerging markets debt and credit team with the hire of Victoria Harling.

Harling was latterly in a sell-side position at Nomura for five years and previously spent eight years in investment roles at Henderson Global Investors .

Harling has become co-portfolio manager of the Investec Emerging Markets Corporate Debt Strategy together with Peter Eerdmans, head of the emerging markets debt and currency team.

Investec sees corporate emerging markets debt as attractive as it regards the market as underinvested and offers exposure to the positive economic environment of key emerging economies. The strategy was launched in April last year and is available as a Luxembourg SICAV.
