International Law Firm Names Former Mourant Luminary As Partner, Trust Head

Withers, the international law group, is making Ziva
Robertson a partner in its Contentious Trusts and Succession
Group.
"Trust litigation is on the rise globally and we are seeing an
increasing demand for advice on complex cross-border disputes,
often involving offshore jurisdictions. Ziva's international
reputation and experience, added to her network of contacts and
linguistic skills, will play a valuable role in building our
market-leading practice further," said Withers’ managing partner,
Margaret Robertson.
Ms Robertson joins the firm from
Mourant’s
London office, where she was also a partner as well as head of
the firm's Cayman trust litigation practice. Prior to joining
Mourant in 2006, she was head of trust litigation at Maples &
Calder in the Cayman Islands. She also previously headed Charles
Russell's trust litigation practice between 2000 and
2004.
Ms Robertson is an experienced international trust
litigator, admitted in both the United Kingdom and the Cayman
Islands. She specialises in complex, cross-jurisdictional trust
disputes - both onshore and offshore.
Withers has 113 partners and around 700 people on-staff,
dedicated to the commercial and tax law, trusts, estate planning,
litigation, charities,employment, family law and other legal
issues facing high net worth individuals, their families,
businesses and advisors globally.
The group comprises Withers in the UK and Europe, Withers Bergman
in the United States and Withers in Hong Kong. Its worldwide
office network spans London, New York, New Haven and Greenwich
(Connecticut), Geneva, Milan and Hong Kong.
