Stanhope
Capital, the global investment office which says it is
expanding its Swiss business presence, has announced that Martin
Naville, chief executive of the Swiss-American Chamber of
Commerce, has joined its advisory board.
Naville will sit alongside other industry and finance luminaries
such as Lord Browne of Madingley, the former BP CEO, and Sir
Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, the advertising group.
Stanhope said the move comes ahead of its 1 November office
re-location to larger premises in Geneva.
Prior to joining the SACC, Naville spent 16 years with The Boston
Consulting Group and worked in Munich, Zurich and New York.
Specialising in the fields of wealth management and
telecommunications, Naville was promoted to partner and director
of BCG in 1995. He started his professional career as a corporate
banker with JP Morgan in Zurich and New York in 1984.
Naville is also a member of the board of directors of Lombard
International, the Luxembourg-based life insurance company, and
of Swissquote, Switzerland's largest, and one of the largest
online banks in Europe.
In July, Christophe Karpiel joined Stanhope’s Swiss office,
taking up the role of head of investment management. Karpiel has
over 20 years of experience with ultra high net worth clients,
having worked as deputy head of UHNW portfolio management at BNP
Paribas Asset Management, Paris from 2005 until 2014, and as
senior portfolio manager and head of fund picking at IXIS Axa.
Stanhope Capital oversees about $9.0 billion of investment assets
on behalf of wealthy entrepreneurs, families, charities and other
institutions around the world.
