International Financial Consultancy Firm Establishes NYC Office

deVere Group, a financial consultancy firm, has established an office in New York City and appointed Adrian Flambard to manage it.
deVere, which is on a mission to launch 100 offices worldwide over the next five years, is planning to make NYC one of its most important locations, said chief executive Nigel Green.
“New York has all the potential to be the top deVere office in the world. We have recruited an additional nine advisors in the last month alone, and we expect to have 25 by the end of the year.”
An advert on LinkedIn shows the firm is recruiting in the Big Apple.
Flambard recently joined the firm from Kleinwort Benson in Guernsey. He specializes in the expatriate market – the firm’s main focus.
“There are more than 160,000 British expatriates in New York City, and many more Irish nationals,” said Flambard. “In addition there are a substantial number of Americans citizens who have UK pensions and who have now returned to NYC.”
The latest office is part of the firm’s ambitious growth plans in the US, as laid out by Green: “We currently have an office in the heart of Miami’s financial district, plans to open a new base in Houston, Texas, imminently, and we hope to total six, in strategic locations across America, within 18 months.
“Longer term, we hope to have an office in every major financial hub in the States within five to 10 years,” he added.
deVere Group was launched in 2002 to provide the global expat community with international financial services. It has around $8 billion in funds under administration and management and offices in around 40 countries.
