Interactive Data Launches Web-Based ETF Tools

Chicago-based Interactive Data Corporation has launched a suite of exchange-traded fund-specific web tools. The new tools are designed to help advisors and investors analyse, build and promote investment strategies using ETFs.
According to Interactive Data, each tool provides an insight into an ETF’s market behaviour and underlying holdings to improve understanding of performance, liquidity, costs and risks. All 1,400+ ETFs trading on US exchanges can be searched and searches can be customised via a range of filters. Users then can embed their own marketing content into their search results for distribution to their clients.
“These new tools allow our clients to cost-effectively launch enhanced ETF services that can support their own sales and marketing efforts... increase their knowledge of ETFs and build better portfolios,” said Bill Chambers, vice president and general manager of Interactive Data Wealth Management Solutions.
Among other features, Interactive Data’s ETF tools include: real-time market data and analytics for the whole spectrum of exchange-traded products; performance analysis - how an ETF’s underlying holdings in specific sectors, countries and market caps can influence return; and performance comparison - the differences and similarities between ETFs.
