ING Opens Regional Private Banking Offices in India

ING Vysya has launched private banking operations in Chennai, formerly known as Madras, the sixth centre of the Dutch bank joint venture to offer wealth management in India. The bank plans to open private banking in Hyderabad in the near future. Last week ING said it is looking to increase its Indian banking unit by 50 branches this year as it seeks to expand into the country's financial and wealth management sectors. ING Vysya Bank, which is 44 per cent owned by the Dutch bank, already has one of the largest such networks of a foreign-invested bank in India with 404 branches.
