IndusInd's Induldge Targets India's Wealthy

IndusInd Bank, the Mumbai-based bank, has launched a new credit card product specifically designed for high net worth clients.

The "Indulge" credit card has no pre-set spending limit. This means that cardholders have the power to spend over their credit limit depending on their past purchases and payment history. In addition, owners also gain access to personalised premium services, along with art advisory.

The card comes inlaid with pure 22-karat gold on the plastic, with the design bearing a gold leaf layered within the plastic layers of the card itself.

The IndusInd Bank card is accessible only by invitation.

The timing to launch an HNWI-focused service is opportune. In the recently-released Capgemini and RBC Wealth Management "World Wealth Report 2013," India comes second to Hong Kong in terms of the highest growth in the number of high net worth individuals worldwide at 22.2 per cent. In a similar study by Knight Frank in March this year, India ranked fifth in the world with 122 billionaires.
