Indosuez Wealth Management Makes Senior Appointments

The latest moves and appointments at Indosuez Wealth Management in Europe, the global wealth management brand of the Crédit Agricole group.

Indosuez Wealth Management has appointed Olivier Chatain as head of strategy, legal, and transformation, and Olivier Carcy and Marc-Andre Poirier as CEOs for Europe and Switzerland respectively.

Starting in December, Chatain will oversee the strategy of the Indosuez group as well as the legal and general secretary business lines, the firm said in a statement. 

Based in Paris, he reports to Jacques Prost, CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management, and will continue to serve as a member of the management committee.

Chatain, who began his career at Crédit du Nord in 1992 as a wealth planner, joined the Crédit Agricole group in 1997. Prior to this, he was managing director, CEO of Crédit Agricole Luxembourg and senior country officer. 

Carcy, CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management in Europe and senior country officer for the Crédit Agricole group in Luxembourg, is also starting in December. He will succeed Chatain, the firm continued. 

Carcy is responsible for the management and development of the wealth management business in Europe (excluding France), in particular through Indosuez's locations in Belgium, Spain and Italy, the firm said. Carcy, who is based in Luxembourg and reports to Prost, is joining the management committee.

Carcy began his career in Paris in asset management with BNP Paribas, Euronext and Rothschild. In 1996, he joined the Crédit Agricole group working in the structured finance business line in Paris, Singapore and Jakarta. More recently, since 2019, he was global head of Indosuez’s Asset Management line. 

Poirier, CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management in Switzerland and senior country officer for the Crédit Agricole group in Switzerland, has also started in December 2022, the firm said. He is responsible for the management and development of the wealth management business in Switzerland, Asia and the Middle East. He is also responsible for the commercial banking and transactional commodity finance businesses in Switzerland. Based in Geneva, he reports to Prost, and will join the management committee.

Poirier began his career in 1988 at Société Générale in Tokyo, where he worked in fixed income markets. He joined the Crédit Agricole group in 2007 as senior country officer for Credit Agricole CIB Japan. From January 2016 to December 2022, he was senior regional officer for the Americas and senior country officer for the United States of Crédit Agricole CIB.
