Indian Investment Firm Takes Majority Stake In Research Company

Indian investment firm Vista Vyapaar has purchased a 69.2 per cent stake in Mathew Easow Research Securities, a company that provides technical analysis services to high net worth individuals, retail clients, stock brokers, and institutions.

Vista bought 1.65 million shares, or 55.19 per cent, for $0.67 million and 0.42 million shares, or 14.01 per cent, for $0.17 million, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company had previously acquired 23,000 shares, or 0.77 per cent, in Mathew Easow in July last year.

Mathew Easow Research Securities was founded by stock market commentator, the late Mathew Easow. It offers technical and fundamental advise on moving averages and trading plans for pivotals, mid caps and select scrips, and provides portfolio restructuring services.

Kolkata-based financial services firm Microsec Capital acted as a manager for the transaction.
