Aditya Birla Financial Services has recently launched operations of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC in the Middle East.

ABFSG, following approval being granted by the Dubai Financial Services Authority, will be located in the Dubai International Financial Centre. It will be led by Vikas Gautam, who will act as senior executive officer and business head for Middle East and Africa.

At the inauguration, chief executive for financial services Ajay Srinivasan said that the office will initially market and distribute all Birla Sun Life Asset Management products denominated in Indian rupees and US dollars.

"The Dubai operations will be a bridge between ABFSG and the region," Srinivasan said.

ABFSG has built a significant presence in India, offering life insurance, asset management, private equity, broking and wealth management services. The seven companies representing it are Birla Sun Life Insurance, Birla Sun Life Asset Management, Aditya Birla Finance, Aditya Birla Capital Advisors, Aditya Birla Money, Aditya Birla Money Mart and Aditya Birla Insurance Brokers. The firm manages around $20 billion in assets.
