IFA Trade Body Appoints Senior Policy Advisor

The Association of Independent Financial Advisers in the UK has taken on Clare Griffiths as senior policy advisor.

Griffiths joins the organisation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. She has previously worked at Ernst & Young, as well as the UK's Financial Services Authority, the Treasury and the Bank of England.

In her role, she will support policy director Chris Hannant on regulatory and legislative issues affecting the AIFA's members.

"Advisers face a challenging environment ahead of Retail Distribution Review implementation and it is important that they have a strong membership body to represent them," Griffiths said in a statement.
