Ibbotson Associates Australia, the asset management unit of Morningstar Investment Management, has named a new managed account solutions head. 

Damian Holland is now responsible for developing and managing the delivery of the firm's managed account products, incorporating diversified and sector-managed portfolios to retail clients, including dealer group licencees and financial planning practices.

Prior to this role, he was the group head of distribution at Armytage Group and had also served as managing director at Ralton Asset Management. The appointment comes on the heels of Matthew Esler's hire as head of advisor services and James Foot's as investment consultant. 

Ibbotson Associates Australia has approximately $180 billion in assets under management as of 31 December 2011.
