Hudson Securities Opens In Cleveland, Names Two Execs To Team

Hudson Securities has announced the opening of a new office in Cleveland and the appointment of two senior executives to its equity research sales team.

Dan Hyland joins the company as managing director, while Eric Smith steps in as senior vice president. Prior to Hudson, Hyland founded and served as president of Hyland Investor Services, providing institutional investors based in the Midwest with corporate access to management teams of small-cap firms.

Smith joins the firm from KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he was director of institutional equity sales. Both will report directly to Michael Boehm, the managing director of Hudson Securities research sales team based in Chicago.

Hudson Securities research team consists of five analysts providing coverage of around 50 firms. It plans to add at least five more analysts and provide coverage of 150 stocks by the end of 2010.
