HSBC Private Bank Appoints SVPs In Beverly Hills

HSBC Private Bank has named Scott Rosser and Diane Wilson as senior vice presidents, based in Beverly Hills, California.

Rosser brings over 20 years of financial services experience serving high net worth clients in the Los Angeles metropolitan area and most recently served as vice president in the wealth and institutional management group at Comerica Bank. Wilson previously worked as a senior vice president at US Trust's private wealth management team and also brings more than 20 years of industry experience to her new role.

At HSBC, both will work with high net worth individuals and families and will report to Joanna Lucchesi, regional manager for the US private bank for the Southern California region.

The appointments come at a time the private bank is stepping up its US-based services after last month deciding to stop serving the US offshore market.

A number of firms are also looking to expand their West Coast presence. Atlantic Trust has said it is committed to expanding there, and yesterday the Boston-based wealth management firm Silver Bridge announced the opening of its new office in Berkeley. Meanwhile, California-based First Republic Bank continues to hire staff at a fast pace.
