HSBC Offshore Appoints New CEO For Channel Islands

HSBC has appointed Nick Winsor as the new chief executive for HSBC Offshore Islands, with responsibility for Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.

Winsor will be based at HSBC International’s headquarters in Jersey, overseeing the local retail and commercial bank, offshore bank, asset management, private bank and trust businesses of the HSBC group in the offshore islands. He replaces Martin Spurling, who has been named CEO of HSBC Turkey.

Winsor has been nearly 30 years in financial services with the HSBC Group, most recently as president and CEO of HSBC in Taiwan. Prior to this role he was head of personal financial services in Asia-Pacific. He has worked in senior roles in Brunei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Qatar, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and in the UK.
