HSBC Adds ETF Range To UK Platform

HSBC has added its exchange-traded fund range to Ascentric, the UK-based independent wrap, having in launched its Onshore Investment Bond on the platform in October.

HSBC’s FTSE 100 and DowJones EuroStoxx 50 ETFs are now available to Ascentric users and HSBC also plans to launch a full suite over the coming months, the firms said in a statement.

“The addition of HSBC ETFs increases the choice for intermediaries when managing portfolios and reinforces our unbiased and unrestricted approach. I’m sure the combination of a reputable company, low cost and low wrap charge will be well received by our supporting IFAs and their clients,” said Richard Goodall, sales and managing director at Ascentric.

ETFs are rapidly gaining in popularity among investors who are attracted to their low costs, transparency and liquidity. They are also an increasingly important part of many wealth management firms’ asset allocations.
