Hong Leong Bank Announces Top Level Appointments

Hong Leong Bank, the Malaysian financial services firm, has announced two top level appointments.

Foong Pik Yee is now chief financial officer, while Jean Yap has assumed the role of regional head of cards and personal financing.

Foong brings over 20 years of industry experience in bank across Asia, Oceana and the Middle East. She moved from Standard Chartered Berhad, where she served as chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank Sal Lebanon. Before that, Foong worked for the likes of ANZ, HSBC and JP Morgan in Australia.

Yap most recently served as regional head of group cards and personal financing at CIMB, another Malaysian bank. She is credited for helping establish Malaysia as CIMB's regional centre of excellence and for launching the company's unsecured lending business in Singapore.

Hong Kong Leong Bank is one of oldest banks in Malaysia and covers consumer banking, business banking, branch and transaction banking, wealth management, private banking and Islamic financial services. It has at least 300 branches in the country.
