Hermes Boosts Infrastructure Team

The UK-based investment house has expanded its infrastructure team with a new partner.

Hermes Investment Management has appointed Robert Wall as a partner within its infrastructure team.

Wall joins from the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board, where he has worked for the past nine years in both Toronto and London. There, he was responsible for executing large-scale direct infrastructure investments and acted as a board director of infrastructure companies in Europe and Australia.

Based in London, Wall will be responsible for originating, analysing and executing investments as well as for governance of portfolio companies. He will report to Peter Hofbauer, the company’s head of infrastructure. Wall will also join the infrastructure investment committee.

“Robert’s in-depth industry experience and deep understanding of direct global infrastructure investment will help us continue to serve our clients interests and grow the business from the current £3.9 billion of assets under management,” said Peter Hofbauer, head of infrastructure at Hermes Investment Management.

“He brings significant and highly relevant infrastructure investment experience that will supplement the high calibre of experienced individuals that make up the existing Hermes infrastructure team."
