Henderson Promotes Fund Manager For European Retail Fund

Henderson Property, the £12.3 billion (about $19.9 billion) property business of Henderson Global Investors, has promoted Carl White to serve as fund manager for its €900 million ($1,160 million) European retail fund, HERALD.

According to Mike Sales, managing director and chief investment officer of Henderson Property, White has worked on HERALD since joining the firm over four years ago.

White has been involved in all aspects of running the fund, including investment strategy and acquisitions, debt negotiations, investor relations, portfolio analysis and asset management. The firm said he has worked closely with David Turner, who will now take on the role of fund director.

“The changes mean that Turner will act as fund director on both of Henderson’s pan-European funds, strengthening the franchise and allowing a greater sharing of knowledge, efficiencies and experiences between the two teams,” the firm said in a statement.
