Henderson Hires Sales Manager

Henderson Global Investors has hired Trevor Sayce as sales manager within its investment trust business, charged with increasing business with wealth managers in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Sayce will collaborate with Peter Smith, who covers the southern half of England and the Channel Islands. They will share the responsibility of London and report to the firm's head of investment trust sales, Mike Wilson.

Sayce was latterly sales manager at Stirling Mortimer, where he was in charge of its range of niche property investment funds. Before that, he spent 14 years at Zurich Intermediary Group as an executive consultant.

“Henderson is determined to raise the profile of its investment trust business amongst the wealth managers and investment intermediaries across the country who are natural buyers of investment trusts with their good performance, experienced managers, low charges and attractive discounts,” James de Sausmarez, director and head of investment trusts, said in a statement.

The London asset manager’s first quarter results saw its assets under management stay flat at £60.5 billion (about $99 billion). The company will announce its interim results on 17 August.
