Henderson Global Names Singapore-Based Retail Sales Head

Henderson Global Investors, the London-headquartered asset manager, has named a new head of retail sales based in Singapore.
Wong Hur Ming joins the company from Deutsche Asset Management, where he served as deputy head of intermediary sales for the South East Asia mutual funds distribution. His new role, which took effect 14 August 2013, covers the Singapore and Malaysia retail channels, including private banks, consumers banks, insurance companies and IFA firms.
Wong replaces Dennis Ng, who has left the firm, and now reports to Mabel Chan, head of wholesale distribution in Asia.
The firm said that its priority is to grow its Asian business in the next five years. As at 30 June 2013, Henderson Global Investors records some $5 billion in assets under management through its six branches in the region.
