Henderson Global Investors Hires Head For Asian Equities Team

Henderson Global Investors, a London-headquartered global investment manager, has appointed Andrew Gillan to head up its Asia, ex-Japan, equities team.

Henderson Global Investors, a London-headquartered global investment manager, has appointed Andrew Gillan to head up its Asia, ex-Japan, equities team.

Based in Singapore, Gillan will take over as lead manager of both the Henderson Asia Pacific Capital Growth Fund and the Henderson Horizon Asian Growth Fund. Gillan joins from Aberdeen Asset Management where he was senior investment manager on its Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) equity team.

At the same time, Henderson announced a soft closure of its Henderson Credit Alpha Fund. The move to ‘soft close’ the fund is being made in order to protect the interests of existing investors and future performance. The fund is now at £869.44 million (around $1408 million) as of 30 September 2013, near its £1 billion capacity.

In total Henderson manages $2.3 billion assets in Asia, ex-Japan, equities.
