Henderson Global Investors Adds New Property Director For China

London-based Henderson Global Investors' £12.7 billion (around $19 billion) property business has appointed Tony He as director of property, China consultancy.

He, who will be principally based in the firm’s Beijing office, joins from Tesco Property, China, where he served as a finance director. Before that, He was a developer at Sun Hung Kai property and Hutchison and Whampoa, both in China.

In his new role, He will work closely with Henderson’s Asia-Pacific property team and explore relationships with local developers and financial institutions for Henderson to expand its property business in China, the firm said.

In other recent hires at the firm, earlier this month Henderson Global Investors' €15 billion property business appointed Paul-Eric Perchaud and Julien Chaperon as portfolio managers for its French team.
