Hedge Fund Manager GLG Recruits Portfolio Manager from Deutsche

New York-listed hedge fund businessGLG Partners said it has appointed Fabrice Bay to its London office as a portfolio manager in August this year, joining from DWS/Deutsche Asset Management in Frankfurt.

Mr Bay will lead the consumer fund team and co-manage the Capital Appreciation Fund alongside Ben Funnel.

At DWS/Deutsche Asset Management, Mr Bay managed approximately €2 billion in European equities mutual funds and institutional mandates. He was responsible for managing the €1 billion DWS European Dividend Plus Fund and was in charge of the launch and management of 130/30 institutional equity products.

Earlier this year, star GLG fund manager Greg Coffey left the company to start his own hedge fund.
