Rory Gilbert, head of high net worth at the private bank of Barclays Wealth in the UK, is moving to be head of MENA.
Rory Gilbert, head of high net worth at the private bank Barclays Wealth in the UK, is moving to be head of the Middle East and North Africa region from 1 August, to be based in the Middle East, this publication can confirm. Gilbert replaces Soha Nashaat, who is moving to take up a new key role at the firm, as previously reported.
“Until the end of the year Rory will be working closely with Soha Nashaat who is moving to take up a client and strategic advisory role at Barclays Wealth. The plan is to replace Rory and we will provide further information in due course,” Barclays Wealth told this publication in a statement.
Nashaat had been in the role for five years.
Gilbert has been at Barclays Wealth since June 2007, having previously worked at UBS Wealth Management in London.
