Head Of Emerging Markets At AXA Framlington Resigns

William Calvert, the head of emerging markets at AXA Framlington, has resigned from the investment management company along with two of his team members.

Calvert, who managed the AXA Framlington Emerging Markets Fund and the AXA World Funds Framlington Emerging Markets Fund, is leaving the firm with Ming Kemp and Neil Denman, who supported him in his portfolio management duties. The trio are understood to be considering other opportunities.

AXA Framlington, meanwhile, is actively interviewing replacement candidates.

“Emerging markets is an area we will continue to develop and we are looking for new talent,” a spokesperson for the firm told WealthBriefing.

Until a successor is properly in place Mark Beveridge, head of AXA Framlington, and Irina Topa-Serry, manager of the AXA WF Framlington Europe Emerging Markets Fund, are working with Calvert to ensure a smooth handover.
