Hartford Financial Bulks Up In Atlanta, Plans Massive Hiring This Year
The Hartford Financial Services Group has announced the
appointment of
Steven Stone as regional vice president of sales in its
Atlanta office.
Stone is a veteran in the insurance industry. He previously
worked for Mass Mutual, where he headed the firm's Birmingham
operations. Prior to that, he served in senior executive
positions in Canada and the US for the Independent Order of
Foresters and for New York Life.
In his new role, he will manage a team of ten account executives
serving Alabama, Georgia and Florida. The company has previously
announced that it is beefing up its independent agent numbers
this year, with at least 50 of them coming from the Atlanta
coverage.
The Hartford, an insurance and wealth management company,
attributes 80 per cent of its nationwide sales to its independent
agents. It intends to sign up 400 more agents before the year
ends.
