Harbour Asset Management Makes Top-Level Promotions

Harbour Asset Management, the Australian fund manager, has promoted three of its team members to more senior positions, the company said in a statement.

Jody Kaye, who joined Harbour in 2010 from First NZ Capital Investment Management, is now director and chief operating officer at the firm. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for overseeing the asset management business, including marketing, client relationship management and product development, as well as managing the outsourced fund administration division.

Craig Stent, who previously served as vice president, becomes director and research analyst, where he will be charged with providing company analysis and modelling, with a focus on consumer, property, and utility stocks. Prior to Harbour, he worked as an assistant research analyst for AllianceBernstein in New Zealand.

Also promoted is Oyvinn Rimer, who has been appointed as a research analyst. Prior to joining Harbour in 2010, he served as an assistant research analyst for AllianceBernstein in NZ. His role will be similar to Stent's but his focus will be on coal, oil, gas and agricultural stocks. He will also oversee portfolio implementation and conduct daily reconciliations.

Harbour provides fund investment assistance to both retail and wholesale clients and recorded over A$700 million in Australasian equities as of 31 December 2010.
