Goldman Sachs have cleaned up in the UK’s annual PAM awards held last night at the London Dorchester. The US-based global giant came top in Best use of Alternative Asset Classes, Product and Service Innovation, Image & Reputation Large Institutions and Overall Service Quality UHNW, whilst managing runner up in the Quality & Clarity of Reporting class. US rival Merrill Lynch did well in the investment categories, winning the defensive and balance portfolio categories. The growth portfolios slot was won by Jupiter Asset Management. Old PAM favourite GAM surprised the audience by not winning a single award, although it did manage a runners up position in the Best use of Alternative Asset Classes category. UBS too, the world’s largest wealth manager, only managed a couple of runner up positions.
