Goldman Doubles Up on Middle East Private Wealth

US investment bank Goldman Sachs has appointed Fadi Abuali as co-head of its Middle East private wealth management business, alongside current head Farid Pasha. Mr Abuali was previously Goldman’s head of institutional wealth management for the EMEA region, based in London. Goldman has been building up its wealth management business in the Middle East. It secured a licence to set up an office in the Dubai International Financial Centre in 2006. Mr Pasha, formerly one of UBS’s top asset gatherers of Middle East private client money, was hired by Goldman to spearhead the push in 2005. The Egyptian private banker is based in Monaco.
