Glocap Search launches wealth-management practice

Recruiter hires former UBS strategist Stanton to run private-client efforts. Glocap Search, a New York-based headhunting firm that specializes in the alternative-asset, investment-banking and management-consulting industries, has hired former UBS Wealth Management USA managing director Peter Stanton to run a new practice dedicated to recruiting for the wealth-management space.
Client-side experience
"Wealth management has become an increasingly complex and dynamic industry in terms of the products and services offered and we plan to provide the same level of sophisticated service that we do in our other practice areas," says Glocap's managing partner Adam Zoia. "Peter's experience building wealth-management teams and businesses makes him a natural fit to lead this new effort."
As head of banking strategy for UBS WM USA, Stanton was responsible for integrating banking and lending services into the firm's broader wealth-management strategy. He has also worked at Merrill Lynch.
"Working to align the talent available in the market with the needs of clients interested in growing their [businesses] is a very exciting opportunity," says Stanton. "Glocap's strategy of hiring recruiters with substantial client-side experience is unique in the industry and a key to successfully finding the right executives and employees for our clients."
Stanton says his team is seeing particular demand for experienced personnel from multifamily offices. Another focal point is demand from big banks for investment-management expertise and, conversely, from Wall Street firms for private banking and lending capabilities.
Glocap Search is affiliated with Glocap Advisors, an investment bank, and Glocap Partners, an alternative-investment manager for institutional investors. -FWR
