Global Prime Partners, the UK-based prime brokerage firm, has strengthened its client service offering in Asia with the addition of an industry veteran to its team.

Rupert Street will lead the company's growing business and client support team throughout the Asian markets region based out of Hong Kong. Street brings over two decades of financial markets and Asian investment experience, which includes managing his own hedge fund, heading a family office and serving as advisor to a number of Hong Kong-listed firms.

Commenting on his appointment, Street said that Asia is under-represented in prime brokerage servicing in the small to mid-cap private wealth and hedge fund sector, so the opportunities to expand in this market are attractive. Global Prime Partners offers prime brokerage and trading services to hedge funds, asset managers, family offices and professional traders.
