Global Consulting Firm Opens “Near Shore” Development Center In Costa Rica

Rule Financial, a global consulting firm providing business consultancy, program delivery and technology implementation services to the financial services sector, is opening its first office in Costa Rica.

Over a two- to three-year time period, Rule Financial expects to create over 300 new high-end technology jobs in the country, the firm said in a statement.

By choosing Costa Rica as its newest “near shore” location, Rule Financial will offer the benefits of time-zone alignment when delivering large projects for clients based in the US and Canada. The firm said that it joins an extensive network of more than 250 multi-national companies operating in Costa Rica, further reinforcing it as a viable location from which to execute its IT projects.

Meanwhile, Alex Fernandez, with more than 16 years’ experience in the technology industry, has joined Rule Financial as its Costa Rica country head and has served at Microsoft and Oracle.

Headquartered in London, Rule Financial has a presence in London, New York, Toronto and Boston, MA, and delivers technical design, implementation and support services from “near shore” facilities in Poland, Spain and Costa Rica.
