Global Asset Manager Hires New CFO

The new CFO joins from Magis Partners, where he served as managing partner.
Global asset manager Och-Ziff
Capital Management has appointed Thomas Sipp as chief
financial officer.
Sipp joins Oz from Magis Partners, where he served as managing
partner for the venture firm focused on wealth management
products.
Prior to Magis Partners, Sipp held several senior executive
positions at Credit Suisse, including CFO and chief operating
officer for Credit Suisse’s asset management division and global
COO for Credit Suisse’s wealth and asset management
operation.
He will be replacing current CFO, Alesia J Haas, who has
resigned to pursue another career opportunity in a different
industry.
Haas will remain with the company to June 1.
“I worked closely with Tom for eight years and am excited to have
an executive of his caliber and experience, join our
leadership team,” said chief executive, Robert Shafir. “We look
forward to welcoming him to Oz and are confident he will be a
strong addition to the company. We thank Alesia for her
contributions to Oz and wish her well,”
Oz Management is an alternative asset manager with offices in New
York, London, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Beijing, Shanghai and
Houston.
In February, this publication reported
that Och-Ziff Capital Management had appointed Shafir as CEO, and
succeeded Dan Och in the role.
