Glenmede Trust Company wins CRM-technology award

Trade magazine: multifamily office has built a top-notch "enterprise suite". Glenmede Trust has received an award for its customer-management technology. The Philadelphia-based multifamily office, which provides investment- and wealth-management services to individuals and families with at least $3 million in assets, got the nod from CRM Magazine in the "Enterprise Suite CRM" category in recognition of its initiative to create a complete wealth management platform.
CRM stands for "customer-relationship management."

"We face many larger competitors, so our true differentiator has always been superior customer service," says Nick Voutsakis, Glenmede's chief technology officer. "To ensure future growth, we realized an integrated, all-encompassing platform was a necessity, yet no single vendor offered a complete solution."
Glenmede's solution was to connect its day-to-day operations technology with an investment-management platform developed by Pittsburgh-based InvestEdge and then run them through Onyx Software's server-supported customer-management system.
In all, Glenmede had to integrate 10 separate systems -- supporting areas such as trust accounting, tax optimization, trading, portfolio analytics, performance measurement, report packaging and customer contacts -- to construct a comprehensive customer-support platform.
Tom Millay, general manager of Bellevue, Wash.-based Onyx, calls Glenmede customer-management suite "a one-of-a-kind solution that creates tremendous value for its clients."
Voutsakis agrees. "We've seen an impressive return in areas such as profit margin and customer satisfaction," he says.
Glenmede supervises more than $13 billion high-net-worth in private and institutional assets. In addition to its headquarters in Philadelphia, the firm has offices in Princeton, N.J., Morristown, N.J., Wilmington, Del., and Beachwood, Ohio.
Onyx is a unit of M2M Holdings. -FWR
