German superbank hires new regional WM strategist

Chua Hak Bin moves from Citigroup to help Deutsche's private-client group. Deutsche Bank has lured Chua Hak Bin over from Citigroup to be the chief wealth-management strategist in the Far East. He takes over from Marshall Gittler, who is set to play a similar role for Deutsche Bank in Geneva.
Singapore-based Chua will provide clients with macroeconomic and investment advice to help them identify appropriate investment opportunities. Also, as a member of the global investment committee for Deustche Bank Private Wealth Management (PWM), Chua will contribute to the German bank's private overall investment strategy for private clients.
Chua reports to Chew Soon Gek, CIO for Deutsche Bank the Private Wealth Management (PWM) business in Asia.
At Citi, Chua was an Asian equity economist specializing in macroeconomics, markets and equities. He has also worked as an economist at DBS Vickers Securities, and as Monetary Authority of Singapore, where he was principal economist. -FWR
