Genworth Financial Adds Banking Veteran To Australian Board

Genworth Financial has appointed banking and securitisation veteran Tony Gill as independent director of its board in Australia.

Gill replaces Grant Robinson, who has decided to pursue other commitments after serving on the board for four years. Gill was most recently as group head of banking and securitisation at Macquarie Group.

"[Gill's addition] brings a new depth of finance, strategy and mortgage market expertise to the Australian board. He'll bring a fresh perspective to the group," Ellie Comerford, the chief executive of Genworth, said in a statement.

Genworth Financial operates in Australia and New Zealand.
