Generali To Build Italian Wealth, Asset Management Group

The new venture will be called ThreeSixty Investments.
Italy-based Generali Group, has
launched its first Italian boutique with a strategic partnership
aimed at launching an asset management company.
The new venture, called ThreeSixty Investments, will develop
multi-asset strategies, serving private and institutional
clients, the firm said yesterday. Generali is investing €1.0
billion ($1.13 billion) into the project.
The partnership is established between the Generali Group (which
holds the majority of the capital through Generali Investments
Holding) and professionals in the asset management landscape:
Giordano Lombardo, former CEO of Pioneer Investments; Mauro
Ratto, senior investment professional, expert in fixed income and
emerging markets strategies; Diego Franzin, senior investment
professional, expert in equity strategies; and Robert Richardson,
experienced executive in the asset management industry.
The new asset management company will run its strategy and
operations independently and be based in Milan and, once it
has obtained the due licences, will operate as an asset
management company (società di gestione del risparmio) under
Italian law.
