The new venture will be called ThreeSixty Investments.

Italy-based Generali Group, has launched its first Italian boutique with a strategic partnership aimed at launching an asset management company.

The new venture, called ThreeSixty Investments, will develop multi-asset strategies, serving private and institutional clients, the firm said yesterday. Generali is investing €1.0 billion ($1.13 billion) into the project.

The partnership is established between the Generali Group (which holds the majority of the capital through Generali Investments Holding) and professionals in the asset management landscape: Giordano Lombardo, former CEO of Pioneer Investments; Mauro Ratto, senior investment professional, expert in fixed income and emerging markets strategies; Diego Franzin, senior investment professional, expert in equity strategies; and Robert Richardson, experienced executive in the asset management industry.

The new asset management company will run its strategy and operations independently and be based in Milan and, once it has obtained the due licences, will operate as an asset management company (società di gestione del risparmio) under Italian law.
