The firm has made a new London-based appointment in a bid to strengthen distribution to institutional clients in the regions.

Swiss asset manager GAM has chosen Ben Edwards to lead its institutional sales operations in the UK and Ireland.

Edwards has spent 10 years covering the UK institutional market at PIMCO. Most recently, he was head of UK and Ireland institutional sales at the California-headquartered firm.

At GAM, Edwards will be in charge of bolstering the company’s distribution proposition for institutional clients in the regions. 

“Ben Edwards has a long and successful track record in helping clients meet their investment objectives,” said Tim Rainsford, group head of distribution. “I am delighted that he will be joining the team, and I am sure his valuable skills and experience will help us provide best-in-class service to institutional clients in the UK and Ireland.”
