French Asset Manager Sees Departure of Private Banking Head to BNP Paribas

Philippe Nahum, the head of Oddo Pinatton Gestion Privée, the private banking arm of Oddo & Cie, the Paris-based asset management firm, has left to join BNP Paribas, according to reports in the French press. A number of members of Mr Nahum’s team at Oddo have also left, according to reports, although it is unclear whether they will be joining BNP Paribas. Mr Nahum has been in his position for three years and joined Oddo in 2001. Oddo is one of France’s leading independent investment services firms and is led by Philippe Oddo. At the end of 2005 the group had around €13 billion ($16.4 billion) of assets under management.
