French Asset Manager Hires To Boost Northern Europe Strategy

Carmignac Gestion is pursuing its growth strategy in Northern Europe, naming Mikael Fellbom as its Luxembourg-based head of countries for the Nordics region.

Last year the French asset manager launched offices in Frankfurt and London, and this year plans to open its doors in Zurich.

Fellbom’s role will be to reinforce the firm’s presence among professional clients, while serving new and existing clients through a regional approach. He reports to Davide Fregonese, global head of sales. Meanwhile, Mischa Cornet, who previously covered the Nordic countries, will now focus on the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Carmignac said.

Fellbom has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, having spent the previous three years within real estate fund management at UFFI Ream and at Corum Asset Management in Paris as head of business development.

Carmignac Gestion has €50 billion ($66.7 billion) in assets under management, with three subsidiaries - in Luxembourg, Frankfurt and Milan - and two offices, in Madrid and London.
