Ellyn McColgan has been elected to Primerica’s board of directors. McColgan most recently was president and chief operating officer of global wealth management at Morgan Stanley.

McColgan left Morgan Stanley in early 2009 in the run up to the joint venture between the firm’s wealth management arm and Citigroup’s Smith Barney unit. Prior to Morgan Stanley she spent 17 years at Fidelity Investments. Her last post at Fidelity was president of distribution and operations.
