Former Merrill Advisors Create Own Business In Texas

Two former Merrill Lynch advisors have created their own independent advisory firm called Syntal Capital Partners in Midland, Texas, media reports said.

Syntal officially opened last week. The firm includes Chad Clary and Dane Crunk, who had been employed in Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group since 2006. Also joining Syntal with the team from Merrill Lynch are Barry Brauchi, Cressinda Hyatt, Clarissa Kuzmich and Raquel Padilla.

Syntal is the latest independent advisory team to join Dynasty Financial Partners, a New York-based firm providing products and services to enable financial advisors to practice independently. Dynasty currently has 12 independent advisory practices including Syntal.

Syntal will focus on working with families who are connected to the energy industry with services including banking and lending, concentrated stock positions, estate planning and trusts, philanthropic efforts and tax management.
