John Ricciardi – latterly of Iveagh - has joined Kestrel Partners, an investment manager that specialises in smaller companies, where he will head up an investment management division with plans to launch a new global multi-asset fund over the next few months.

Ricciardi left his position as head of global asset allocation and lead manager of the Iveagh Wealth Fund at the asset management firm in June. He joined the company, which is also the family office for the Guinness dynasty, in 2007.

Earlier in his career, he was head of global asset allocation at Alliance Bernstein and chairman and founder of Bullrun Financial, now part of Quantal International. He also co-founded Cursitor Management, the London-based investment house.
