Pharos Financial Group, the Australia financial services firm, has hired a former AFS Group executive to lead ts advisory solutions unit.

Adam Kingston leaves his role as regional manager of AFS Group to spearhead Pharos' advisory arm, with responsibility to assist the group's existing and future planners. 

The appointment is in line with the firm's plans to expand its coverage of the non-institutional dealership industry and comes on the heels of the appointment of Michael Cole as chairman of the dealer service and account investment committee.

Pharos Financial Group was established to provide seed funding for business initiatives in Australia. It currently has equity positions in Madison Financial Group, AdviceNet and Business & Estate Planning Specialists.
